It's time for new appearance. Following order of news:
My exhibitions in Seattle (USA) were extended until January 24. Interest and visit were significant; that is why they were extended, but commercial effects were not of the same intensity - crisis still shakes America (and World too).
Our celebration of 50th anniversary since graduation in once famous High Technical School in Sarajevo passed in mixed mood. Only five of us, former graduates came, from our class IV1and another seven from neighboring class IV2, and the only living teacher, that time class-master of IV2, Ms. Nadja BISER-Taso. As our benches are not there for a long time, instead of our classroom we set together in one of beautifully equipped cabinets for professional lectures. Firstly, with one-minute silence we mourned our passed-away teachers, leaded by legendary Stanislav Bać, former class-master of our IV1, and to our dear schoolmates who, unfortunately, did not live to be here in these beautiful moments. Than, the School personnel told nice words on credits of our generation for post-war development of our, that time ruined homeland's economy. They acquainted us with their current efforts to return this institution to path of former shine, but also, with dusk coming over everything they have achieved: new legislative to be passed entirely ignores everything that generations and generations of teachers and students have achieved for full 120 years! Even name of Technical School is about to vanish, and all of tradition is recklessly bundled into meaningless title School for productivity crafts or something like that!? These acknowledge deeply shocked us; we have signed petition for absolute preservation of full and traditional name HIGH TECHNIQUE SCHOOL - Sarajevo (with Departments) and its adequate ranking amongst other schools. Upon visit to other cabinets and areas of the School, we have entered our former classrooms and for a moment retrieved careless time of adolescent fooling around, but also serious work and study, which we where not forced to do! Our celebration ended, as supposed to, with meal and some drinks, and many remembrances from elapsed times, at 31st floor of Sarajevo's new attraction, „twisted" „AVAZ" tower. Thanks to kind and hard-working collective of nowadays Mechanical Technical School for exceptional reception of their former students, and for everything they do for this School and new generations of students, future technicians, so much needed in our devastated economy.
My computer operates normally again, thanks to hard-working and crafty BBS employees. Now I can process hundreds and hundreds of previously taken photos, arranging my archive at the same time. And my atelier, finally, is on agenda: generally cleaned and painted, now ready for return of only such staff that have real utility value. And lots of things were gathered in here!
My granddaughter Mia has had nice celebration of her 7th birthday; grandpa could not attend, but grandma was there. Good luck, once again, Mia!
Bad news I have left for the end of this word: my Taibica fall down and has broken her right arm. Good in the accident was that Emergency staff and famous SWEDISH MEDICAL CLINIC have done everything properly and timely; the surgery was successful (without blue envelope - read bribe!) and my wife, with care and efforts of our children Sabina and Zlatko, goes along way of soon recovery, which I wish her from my hearth.
